Pathways World School, an international boarding and day school,
began its first academic session in August 2003, enrolling students
from Nursery to Grade 11. The 30 acre campus is located on an elevated,
wooded site in the Aravali Hills, 25 km from Delhi International
Airport but away from the pollution of the city and within easy
reach of a large number of superb cultural locations, including
the Himalayas, Corbett Tiger Reserve, the Red Fort and the Taj Mahal
at Agra.
Pathways World School is an N-12 International Baccalaureate World
School, authorised to offer the IB Diploma Programme. Students in
Grade 10 sit for the IGCSE of the University of Cambridge Local
Examinations Syndicate. The Primary School follows the National
Curriculum for England, adapted to local circumstances and with
emphasis on Indian Geography and History. Authorisation is being
sought to offer the IB Primary Years Programme. The well-qualified
international teaching faculty has generous access to quality in-service
training both in India and abroad.
The campus is a temperature-controlled, flexible and user-friendly
learning environment designed for anywhere-anytime learning, with
abundant shaded areas for conversation and tranquil reflection.
There is universal wireless networking and every student from Grades
6 to 12 is equipped with a laptop computer. The first phase of construction,
now almost completed, includes three science laboratories, a spacious
Library-Media-Centre and studios for art, music, dance, theatre
and design-technology. Sporting facilities include hockey and football/cricket
fields, a 400-metre track, a 25-metre pool, a gymnasium, squash,
tennis and basketball courts and an outdoor theatre-in-the-round
on the edge of a lake. Residential facilities are based on the model
of a first-class British independent boarding school with professional
staffing and comfortable study-bedrooms. On-campus catering at Pathways
World School is vegetarian though a wide range of non-vegetarian
cuisine is available to boarders on their weekly visits to nearby
Gurgaon.
