Canadian School of India - The International School offers the
Ontario, Canada curriculum in grades one to twelve as well as a
Montessori Pre-School and Kindergarten for ages 2 ½ to 5.
The school has affiliated status with the International Baccalaureate
Organization and began the Diploma Program in Grades 11 & 12
in August 2000. The medium of instruction is English. The school
offers a co-educational non-sectarian program which prepares students
to enter colleges and universities all over the world. In the school's
seven years, graduates have been accepted at universities and colleges
in Canada, USA, UK, India, Australia and Korea.
The Canadian School of India's diploma is granted by the Ministry
of Education, Ontario, Canada and recognized by the Association
of Indian Universities for admission to degree courses.
The curriculum at the Canadian School of India offers core subjects
in science, mathematics, modern languages (English, German, Japanese,
Spanish), English, social sciences and a wide range of optional
courses in computers, business studies, art, philosophy, sociology,
physical education, world issues and geography.
The facilities at Canadian School of India include three science
labs, two computer labs, music and art rooms, library/media centre,
indoor gym and outdoor playing field. The school canteen serves
all meals for the hostel students as well as daily lunch to day
scholars and staff. Nearby facilities include swimming pool, tennis
courts, cricket pitch. Co-curricular activities include sports teams
and intramural tournaments; clubs, a creativity fair and festival
of the arts, talent assemblies, animation festival, students' council
and hostel council.
Community service activities include the annual Terry Fox Run for
Cancer Research, fund-raising and activities for two local orphanages
and local hospital.
