India International School (IIS) was set up in July 1990 with 665 students
on roll in Std I to V. The school grew into a senior secondary school
by 1995 when the first batch of its students sat the senior secondary
exam of the Central Board of Secondary Examination, New Delhi, to
which the school is affiliated. From 2003-04 the school will only
be a Senior/Senior Secondary School.
India International School is a member of the International Schools
Association with its Principal on the Executive Board.
The school believes in education of the whole person and, among
other things, strives to help its students (i) to acquire logical
thinking, (ii) to cultivate sensibilities, (iii) inculcate moral
values, (iv) evolve a comprehensive worldview and (v) develop respect
for all forms of life, expression and belief. It pays particular
attention to equipping its students with skills and abilities to
enable them to answer the challenges of the modern world, have a
greater awareness of the world issues, and discover how similar
all humans are. Also the India International School caters to the
needs of non-Resident Indians, who appreciate the school's efforts
to inculcate among students an international outlook while still
retaining the finer aspects of cultural heritage and prefer to send
their children to India International School to make sure that they
grow into healthy human beings.
India International School runs under the aegis of the Indian Council
for International Amity (ICFIA) and as such it values international
understanding and presents its students a model of teaching that
relates learning to life, to nature and the rule-governed universe.
